Matthew Matt James, born 5 December 1991 in North Carolina. He is a mixed-race child of Manny James and Patty James. The mother of Manny James was caucasian and his father Nigerian. He graduated in 2010 of Sanderson High School. In 2015, James earned the Bachelor of Economics degree from Wake Forest University. James became famous when he was a Reality Actor on The Bachelorette. James was chosen in 2020 as the new bachelor in The Bachelor season 25, becoming the show's debut African American male star. The series premiered later that year. James' fit was perfect for the role as his appealing, well-rounded, and large-bodied personality. Rachael Krakconnell, whom he had chosen as his partner through the remainder of the season. In 2021 he partnered with the famous dancer Arnold to take part in season 30 of Dancing with the Stars. James as well as Arnold placed 12th on the show.
